Google Introduces Short-Form Video Row in Search Results

Google has recently started testing its new carousel of short-form video results on the selected search queries. This provides direct links to the relevant video clips available on the Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.

This seems to be an exciting feature and can potentially influence the 2021 content approach for many businesses and especially content creators.

Upon tapping the clips, users will be taken to the web version of the social media platforms, not the mobile application. Ultimately, people are likely to remain on Google as a single tap on the back option will return to the search results – after seeing the video.
