Google has announced Series One, a new hardware for its Google Meet platform. The new hardware is aimed to bolster Meet’s appeal among distributed and remote teams.
Designed by Google by teaming up with Lenovo, the new Series One hardware comprises several different pieces, including cameras and microphones. A Series One kit includes a regular or extra-large true 4K smart camera, a system, a smart audio bar, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen controller.

The devices can automatically frame participants in a meeting and sense of how many people are in a room without using facial recognition. The device uses AI to deliver enhanced audio and video clarity and utilizes TrueVoice, Google’s multi-channel noise cancellation, and voice amplification technology.
