Google Cloud, a division of Alphabet Inc., has announced a significant restructuring of its go-to-market team in an effort to increase competitiveness ahead of what is anticipated to be a challenging year for technology companies.

Adaire Fox-Martin will now serve as the president of the Google Cloud Go-to-Market Organization, a newly created position that effectively elevates her to the company’s top sales executive. The move coincides with Kirsten Kliphouse, the company’s top U.S. sales executive, leaving the organization.

In her new position, Fox-Martin will take on many of the duties that former Google Cloud President Robert Enslin was responsible for before leaving the company in May of last year to become co-chief executive of UiPath Inc.
