Google Adds Latest Listing Details to Streamline Various In-Store Purchases

Social distancing requirements implemented to stop the spread of COVID-19 have created major impacts on retail outlets, as many consumers are now shifting to online shopping options to avoid unnecessary exposure.

Many people want to work on limiting the amount of time they spend on online shopping. This is why Google added the latest listing options on local store searches last May, like ‘curbside pick-up,’ which allows shoppers to arrange and get together their items without actually going into the business.

Now, Google’s adding more listing options on this front, with even more specific listings of available items in the specific local stores, and more detail on delivery options and opening times.

First off, on item listings – on Google’s Shopping tab, the users can now effectively select the ‘Nearby’ filter at the top of the page to view all the product options available in their local stores, which they can pick up on a particular day.
