Twitter announced its new political advertising policy on Friday politicians wouldn’t be able to run false and fake ads on Twitter. But they also won’t be able to advertise the correct information.

During the 2020 election cycle, candidates won’t be able to utilize ads to put forward their views on political issues, gaining access to wider audiences. The advocacy organizations won’t be able to use ads to push for legislative changes. They can do these things with TV, radio ads, newspaper ads, Facebook ads. But they won’t be able to advertise on Twitter.
