The social media platform had started testing the new feature back in April. The “First Commercial” ad option will let advertisers ensure that their ad is the first one viewed by users when they login to Snapchat’s original Discover chats. Snapchat said that users had increased the viewership of Discover shows by 35% from the previous years. The pandemic has been a crucial reason for the increased viewership as well.
The organization has planned to ensure that all UK and US advertisers have access to First Commercial. All enterprises will not use the higher-end option. However, it’s just another measure for marketers to connect with users.
