Facebook Withdraws Campaign Budget Optimization from Advertisers

Marketers and advertisers will no longer require to use Facebook’s mandatory Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) option in their campaigns. They now have the choice either to have budgets managed at the marketing campaign or in the ad set level. Previously, many advertisers were not aligned or happy with the forceful CBO feature.

Although the social media giant still believes that CBO offers more performance and value gains with the help of algorithms. A Facebook spokesperson cited, “To provide advertisers with flexibility and choice in their buying strategies, we have decided not to pursue a mandatory migration for Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO).”
