Facebook has recently announced that it updated its content moderation queue system. This initiative could lead to significant enhancements in slowing the spread of harmful content and addressing the worst-case reports on the platform.
Before the Facebook moderators used to review posts chronologically, in the order, they were reported. Now, social media wants to ensure the most important posts are seen first.
The new feature utilizes improved technology and machine learning processes for categorizing the reported content. This amalgam will prioritize the posts on the basis of three criteria – virality, severity, and likelihood of breaking the regulations.
