A recent report revealed that Facebook is hosting thousands of Pages and groups, with millions of followers and members, that support the dangerous QAnon conspiracy theory. Facebook has finally announced that its taking action, by restricting broadband of linked entities and updating the rules to crack down on QAnon content in response to the report.
Facebook has been key to QAnon’s growth throughout, in large part due to the platform’s Groups feature, which has also witnessed a significant uptick in use since the social network began emphasizing on it since 2017.
