Facebook Ready to Commit to Clear Advertisement Data Access for Partners - French Watchdog-01

Facebook’s proposed commitments come in response to a complaint filed by Criteo, a French online advertising firm, which cited its exit from the Facebook Marketing Partner (FMP) program in 2018 as evidence of the company’s denigrating practices.

According to the watchdog’s investigation, Facebook’s methods are “likely” to obstruct access to advertising inventory and ad campaign data on the platform. It also highlighted a lack of transparency and objectivity in the way FMP applications are handled.

In response to the initial investigation, Facebook offered to maintain clarity, objectivity, and non-discrimination in the performance criteria demanded of FMPs, as well as provide regular compliance training to sales teams, the watchdog said.
