The social media giant has recently announced that it is testing a new feed of short-form video clips into the main app. This is exclusively being done in the Indian market – where the most popular short video form was TikTok, which has been banned completely.
Similar to other short-form video feature, Facebook will enable users to upload videos for up to 26 seconds with a custom text option. Any longer video can also be uploaded and trimmed manually.
The company noted that they keep testing new creative tools to analyze user engagement. With short video gaining popularity, it is focused on providing better experience.
