Facebook gives an Update on Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior

As US Presidential Elections draw closer, Facebook is making it, its mission to eliminate instances of ‘coordinated inauthentic behavior’ and avoid a situation similar to 2016.

This week, the tech giant has given an update that clarifies the account removals due to its detection processes. This process enabled Facebook to identify and remove the three Russian-based networks that were strongly associated with Russia’s Internet Research Agency (IRA), the same group responsible for meddling and manipulating US voters ahead of the 2016 election.

As per Facebook, they are detecting these networks at a much higher rate.
