Facebook has recently announced that it would no more recommend political and civic groups to users. Earlier it noted halting recommendations for political groups for the US users in the run towards the presidential election.
And now, the social media giant is making a permanent move and would expand this policy to all users globally. Indeed, such groups are communities that are being created around common interests and beliefs. In this context, Mark Zuckerberg believes Facebook groups are breeding assemblies for hate and online violence – thus, the feature needed to be fine-tuned.
