Facebook is rolling out its new ‘Page’ layout for public figures and creators, providing more management features and engagement insights. Besides, it is putting increased emphasis on following a Page rather than liking it.
As noticed in the current layout, the new format has the ‘Like’ button removed from the Main Page, and the ‘Follow’ button is prominent. It also shows the follower count on the top, and the profile picture is now shifted into the middle – to give more focus.
Certainly, the de-emphasis of the ‘Like’ button is making sense to many creators as it will ensure that the followers will be alerted to all new updates.
