Facebook has recently acquired the AR startup, Scape Technologies, to build a 1:1 3D map of the physical world. As per TechCrunch, the purchase amount is estimated to be nearly $40 million. The startup focuses on creating a digital representation of the real world. It is planning to design an infrastructure for the next-gen spatial-computing devices, which majorly includes autonomous devices and interactive gadgets.
