European Union Grills Google in Court for Abusing Market Power

Google is looking forward to overturning the first of the enormous antitrust fines issued by the European Union (EU) at the General Court. EU has issued three separate penalties, a total of 8.25 billion euros against the tech giant for abuse of the market power. Google will come up with its arguments on Wednesday against the 2.4-billion-euro fine, during its three-day hearing. An official from the EU said Google is favoring its price comparison to the disadvantage of its minor European rivals.
