In an effort to look into potential violations of the recently passed Digital Services Act (DSA) in the area, the European Union has opened formal investigations into Musk’s X platform.
Large digital platforms must adhere to a number of new rules under the DSA, including those pertaining to the suppression of false information and the prohibition of unlawful content. The EU is currently looking into X’s new strategies under Musk because it feels that X might not be up to par.
Musk and EU regulators have already disagreed in the past over their suggested changes to impose more stringent moderation guidelines.
