Digital experience platform Episerver has announced the acquisition of optimization platform Optimizely. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed. According to PitchBook, Optimizely was valued at$600 million after its funding round in June.
Founded in 2010, Optimizely helps companies manage and test different versions of websites to maximize the number of clicks. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, with the companies remaining fully staffed and independent until then.

The acquisition is expected to help Episerver extend its capabilities around content and commerce with Optimizely’s experimentation tools.
