Direct Line Group is establishing a chief customer office under the direction of Kate Syred, the company’s managing director of household, partnerships, data, pricing, and underwriting, as part of a leadership reorganization.

The office’s main objectives are to use its brands to strengthen customer relationships and to lead the group’s brand and customer strategy by combining data and insight expertise. The restructuring occurs as Mark Evans, the company’s longtime managing director of marketing and digital, announces his departure to pursue a portfolio career.

With the appointment of two new leaders, the office will combine data and insight expertise to steer the brand and customer strategy across the group.
