Cision announced that it has completed its acquisition of digital consumer analytics firm Brandwatch. Cision’s long-standing leadership in media intelligence is combined with Brandwatch’s AI and machine learning technology, as well as deep social listening, in this agreement. Also, it marks the launch of a new embedded Brandwatch app on Cision’s platforms and improved social media analysis across all of its solutions.
Cision is also integrating the innovative power of Brandwatch with Falcon.io, a Cision firm known for its powerful social media management capabilities, once the purchase closes. The integrated social business will be a 1,000-person social media powerhouse with the goal of delivering interesting new capabilities in this rapidly evolving space.
