According to an earnings statement, Amazon’s advertising sales segment increased 25% year-over-year to reach USD 9.5 billion in the third quarter, a higher growth rate than the preceding quarter.

Even though Amazon continues to face challenges in its core business sectors, the category is still a bright spot. The market became uneasy as recessionary fears increased after the e-commerce behemoth provided a weak sales forecast for the crucial holiday shopping season. However, Amazon continues to experience growth in the advertising sector as businesses increase their spending in media outlets near points of sale when the economy is struggling.

Earlier this week, the business expanded the scope of its offering of advertising products to include more options related to video and ad-tech solutions like its data clean room, known as Amazon Marketing Cloud.
