This achievement increases the coverage area of Wefi and allows network operators to unlock additional roaming discounts, monetization channels and better coverage. With the WeConnect solution from Wefi and OpenRoaming , operators can improve the user experience of subscribers by offering a secure and smooth connection at a lower cost, without compromising the quality of service.

OpenRoaming was developed as a global standard to streamline users’ roaming access between cellular networks, guest Wi-Fi networks, and public Wi-Fi hotspots. Its user-centric approach eliminates traditional connectivity barriers when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks. Users can connect to high-speed, secure, carrier-grade networks wherever they are, indoors or outdoors, without experiencing a disruption to their wireless network connection. Thus, users do not need to re-register or re-enter their login credentials.
