OSARO Expands Field Team with Industry Veterans for Customer Success-01

OSARO, a global leader in the development and deployment of advanced robotics for e-commerce, has deepened its bench of field team members with supply-chain industry veterans who have overseen the challenges of warehouse automation and the emergence of AMR, ASRS, and AI-driven technologies for more than 20 years.

Tracy Perdue has taken on the leadership role of vice president of sales for OSARO. Perdue brings 20 years of industry experience, working with Dematic, Intelligrated, and Conveyco Technologies, among others.

“‘Let’s get real,’ is my approach,” said Perdue. “We believe in finding the right answer to meet a specific situation, not a one-size-fits-all, out-of-box solution. OSARO supports you from your first exploration of adding the latest robotics to your e-commerce through the challenges of integration.”

The AI-driven, piece-picking robots OSARO optimizes for its industrial customers represent the next big area of achievable benefits in e-commerce distribution as surging demand and disruptions continue to put pressure on fulfillment centers to work smarter and faster. By automating common manual processes such as movement, storage and retrieval, and picking and placing, fulfillment centers and e-commerce operations can become more efficient and cost effective, while addressing today’s labor shortages.

OSARO is experiencing increased interest in the OSARO Robotic Bagging System, which pairs robots powered by OSARO software with automatic bagging machines from leading vendors. To meet customer needs for front-end discovery and planning, OSARO also just hired Bryan Arnold as director of sales and David Burton as director of inside sales.

Arnold brings 22 years of experience in technical sales, 16 of them in the material handling automation industry. That included two years at Daifuku Wynright, four years at Retrotech/Dematic, seven years at Honeywell Intelligrated, and three years at SencorpWhite. A graduate of Texas A&M with a BS in Industrial Distribution, he also worked in the electrical industry at Thomas & Betts and Robroy Industries.

His deep, integration-oriented knowledge of automated material handling technologies enhances his ability to identify client issues to be solved and business advantages to be gained based on revenue, cycle time, quality, compliance, or profitability improvements.

“I pride myself on listening and capturing clients’ perspectives across multiple intralogistical disciplines and roles,” said Arnold. “I am looking forward to helping order fulfillment providers adopt robotic piece-picking solutions to optimize their operations while mitigating the risks of labor volatility and scarcity.”

Burton is a veteran in more ways than one. He has worked across the industry at Honeywell, LiftOne, and Rhino Tool House. That followed a 15-year career in nuclear engineering with the U.S. Navy.

“Our job is to implement efficient, reliable operations that boost throughput, while reducing costs, labor problems, inventory concerns, and bottlenecks,” said Burton, who noted he gained his strong appreciation of the critical need for precision and integration while working on nuclear submarine systems. “I look forward to creating more awareness regarding the industry challenges plaguing many companies today and offering key insights that may help them achieve their desired operational goals.”

“E-commerce logistics operations globally are wrestling with burgeoning consumer demand and labor shortages,” said Derik Pridmore, CEO of OSARO. “We welcome the deep experience and unrivaled systems knowledge that Tracy, Bryan, and David bring to our dedicated product and sales groups. Our expanded team can support our customers’ success from the first moment they ask about how piece-picking robotics can be integrated into their operation.”
