KYOCERA AVX Enters IMC, Accelerating IoT Go-to-market for Users

KYOCERA AVX, a manufacturer of antennas and RF chipsets, has joined the IoT M2M Council (IMC), the largest trade association for the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) sector. The company aims to improve time-to-market for IoT users with a holistic approach to hardware and connectivity in product design. For its part, the IMC will provide the company with access to the many product manufacturers and corporate users among its members who employ IoT technology.

“We are excited to join the IMC ecosystem, the largest and fastest growing IoT/M2M organization in the world,” said Carmen Redondo , Director of Global Marketing for Antennas at KYOCERA AVX. “IMC’s membership profile is made strong of people who develop products with connectivity, which suits us very well. Whether it’s standard hardware, customization or pre-certification services, our goal is to improve the development cycle and provide excellent connectivity.”

The diverse presence of the IMC is also interesting, as it maintains memberships around the world and in 27 different vertical markets. KYOCERA AVX produces antennas covering all major frequency bands and uses a wide range of materials (such as PCB and LDS) for integrated or external use. “We believe that our product line combined with our online tools, reference designs from major RF module manufacturers and experienced engineering teams around the world can support any IoT application,” said Redondo.

KYOCERA AVX will be exhibiting at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show in IMC’s IoT Infrastructure Pavilion, one of the biggest IoT events next year (January 5-8, 2023 in Las Vegas ). The show attracts tens of thousands of attendees from key IoT sectors such as automotive, health and wellbeing, smart home and smart cities. As part of IoT-Week @ CES, the IMC will also host conference programs and host networking and press events throughout the week, which Redondo will be attending.
