centrexIT Selects Darin Andersen as Vice President of Sales and Marketing

centrexIT, an information technology (IT) services provider helping businesses thrive through technology, today welcomes Darin Andersen as its vice president of sales and marketing. The seasoned Internet of Things and cybersecurity executive brings centrexIT over 20 years of experience in the security industry. In his role, Andersen will be responsible for developing new services based on growing needs and demands from current and future clients. In addition, he will oversee the company’s client success team and virtual chief information officers (vCIO), a unique IT guidance function offered by centrexIT to ensure client success.

“Darin is an experienced executive who bears deep knowledge of global cybersecurity and network ecosystems,” said Dylan Natter, CEO of centrexIT. “After vetting numerous qualified candidates, I am thrilled to announce his appointment as vice president of sales and marketing. Andersen currently serves as chairman of NXT Robotics Corporation, a startup that produces an autonomous artificial intelligence platform for service robots. Before that, he was the president of Norman Shark, a cybersecurity software development company acquired by Symantec. As president of its North America division, he led sales, partner channels, marketing and IT for malware intelligence products. From 2007 to 2011, Andersen was the chief operating officer at cybersecurity solutions firm ESET, where he grew the company to over 800 employees worldwide and built an extensive network of malware research centers and partners spanning more than 180 countries.

Andersen is the founder of NEST CoWork, one of San Diego’s oldest and most respected coworking spaces, and CyberTECH, an international organization for cybersecurity and smart city experts. He served three terms as chairman of economic development for the California governor’s cybersecurity task force and has been a featured speaker at numerous IT security conferences. Andersen holds an MBA and a master’s in information systems and operations systems from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College. He currently resides in Coronado, California.
