Boston Globe Media Hires Rodrigo Tajonar as new chief people officer_-01

Boston Globe Media announced today that Rodrigo Tajonar will join Boston Globe Media as chief people officer, an executive-level position, starting in June. 

Mr. Tajonar brings more than 20 years of human resources and corporate affairs experience, during which he has supported diverse groups of employees within organizations globally, in the Americas and in Latin America. As chief people officer, he will oversee Boston Globe Media’s human resources team, leading multiple HR knowledge centers. HR, including job attraction and retention, learning and development, employee and labor relations, comprehensive rewards, and performance management. He will also provide strategic guidance on organizational design, culture building, and inclusion initiatives.

Mr. Tajonar will join Boston Globe Media from ILC Dover, a world leader in the design and production of flexible engineering solutions for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, aerospace and other industries, where he currently serves as Global Director From Human Resources. Previously at Axalta Coating Systems, a global leader in the coatings industry, he served as Director of Human Resources for Operations and Supply Chain in the Americas, simultaneously leading HR. H H. for Latin America and Global Acquisitions. Prior to his eight years as a manager at Axalta, he held positions at HR. H H. of increasing scope and responsibility at DuPont, where he supported different business units and divisions within Latin America and Mexico.

He obtained his MBA from IPADE Business School in Mexico and has a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. He also has a diploma in Leadership Skills from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico, a diploma in US and Global Labor Law from Cornell University and is Prosci certified in Change Management.
